Buds Listen UP

A good friend, the best kind, is one who listens and takes what you have to say to heart – no matter how honest or harsh. And with reviews that compared Canadian cannabis to the dryness of quarantine sex life, or terps that were staler than chesterfield cushions, it was clear that producers across the country had our work cut out to regain Canadians’ trust.

It’s 2018 and everyone is rife with excitement for legalization. The country is basically electric, and the only people more excited than cannabis users are cannabis producers. We all got fired up, and then, as you’ll recall, the industry as a whole hit some, shall we say, speed bumps as we rushed to get products to eager consumers. Across the board, there were issues with supply chains, quality and growing.

We took all the reviews, especially the negative ones (some of which were very creative, we’ll admit) to heart. We found some common trends that had us take a look at the potency, taste, freshness, price, and terps of our own products. We then had to reconcile with the fact that the people who were upset with the quality of Canadian cannabis had some very valid points. Things weren’t up to par and something needed to be done, so we decided to swallow our pride, listen and step things up.

In November of 2020, we relaunched with our UP20™ line of dried flower. It features three strains that are better because we listened to what you had to say. Ghost Train Haze UP20™, Northern Berry UP20™ and Cold Creek Kush UP20™ each boast 20% THC potency or higher. All of this at the reasonable price you’d expect from a good bud.

We’re proud of these products and we’re going to keep listening to make sure we can keep meeting and exceeding your expectations. We’re also hopeful that our recent marketing campaign that called out the entire industry’s shortcomings will give other producers the nudge they need to up their quality so that we can all enjoy better products.

While our marketing campaign has been focusing on spreading the word about the 20% or higher THC content of our strains, we’ve seen the feedback that you really appreciate terps.

Cold Creek Kush UP20™ is an aromatic indica that gets its earthy aromas and sweet undertones of citrus and grape from Beta-Pinene, Caryophyllene, Humulene, Nerolidol and Ocimene.
