Canada’s 100 Best magazine has officially released its annual list of the top restaurants in the country and it’s making us hungry!

Restaurants from all over are considered and voted on by a record-high number of 150 judges made up of people in the industry, chefs, critics and writers.

Want to put the top restaurants on your bucket list? You’ll find Mon Lapin in Montreal in the number one spot, with Edulis in Toronto coming in second, and a second Toronto restaurant, Alo, taking third place.

We’re rounding up the top 10 restaurants on the Canada’s 100 Best list below!

 1: Mon Lapin (Montreal)

Opened in 2018 in the Little Italy quarter of Montréal, the bar and restaurant has rapidly become a standout address for local gourmands. Expect refined natural wines & a shifting menu of farm-focused fare in a stylish, petite spot.

2: Edulis (Toronto)

Edulis is about many things. The pleasure of enjoying a gathering around the table to share authentic dishes and to be greeted like a friend; conviviality, feasting, celebrating the craft and tradition of cooking, honesty, and spectacular ingredients. Their menus change to showcase the ingredients of the moment – with a strong focus on seafood, vegetables, and wild mushrooms.

Alo is a contemporary French restaurant located at the top of a heritage building in downtown Toronto. The cuisine is internationally inspired and celebrates the finest in seasonal ingredients paired with a genuine sense of welcome.

Their Dining Room serves blind, multi-course tasting menus for 2-4 guests at $225/person. There’s also The Bar at Alo, situated in an adjacent room, offering a six course tasting menu inspired by the Dining Room offerings. This menu is also available à la carte!

Beba is an intimate restaurant located in the heart of Verdun, Quebec. Their cuisine is inspired by Spanish and Italian cultures which, over time, have settled in Argentina. Throughout the year, they use the best ingredients available, prepared with techniques based on simplicity.
